Day 209, Yosemite NP – Independence creek, 303 kms, Oct 29th 2

My day started early, up at 05:30 and on the road just after 6 from Rancho Cordova to meet Zoe at the Yosemite entrance around 10. I stopped for breakfast along the way and arrived around 09:30 at the park gates.

At 10:00 Zoe met me with the pass and we proceeded to pack up camp. It took a while to get everything sorted and we eventually got on the road around 11:30. The CA-120 or Tioga road is a nice road crossing the Yosemite NP E-W and we stopped a few times along the way to enjoy the views.

With lunch time creeping up we looked for a place and eventually settled for a Mexican food in June Lake. From there we headed south on highway 395 which is a nice quiet (by highway standards) road down the desert valley on the east side of the sierras. Progress was fast a we stopped just before sunset to camp near Death Valley which is the next destination. Lots of riding today (500 kms for me) but it was nice riding so not too bad.

Good to see you’re back together and moving on with a well fixed motor bike.
Thanks for the nice pictures !

I missed the bit from Sacramento to Rancho Cordova where Tanguy ended up solo apparently, to join Zoë at Yosemite.
Some bits have fallen off the optic wire or somewhere in the back of my screen.
Good, you’re re-united and driving on!
As with every day the photographs are an invitation to visit the place, if it weren’t for the fingerprints.
Not on a bike at almost 70 but in a topless it would be appealing!
