Today is a day off, no riding! After a long hard day yesterday we were looking forwards to just laying in the hot water and do nothing.
We had a nice cooked breakfast and pack all we would need for a day at the beach. There were a few people down there already but nowhere near as many as last night. Most people have to work again tomorrow and so were busy packing up to leave.
We found our favourite pool and set up camp. We both brought our books along and enjoyed the warm water. When tired of reading we would just hop into another pool or move some rocks around to improve our tub. When we were feeling a little warm we would jump into the frigid glacial run off river to cool off and then repeat the cycle. We did that until about 2 in the afternoon then headed back up the hill for lunch.
Lazy from the mornings activities we lounged around our campsite for a few hours. Zoe laid in the tent with a book whilst I fell asleep in the hammock. It’s so nice to have a day off now and then and this was the perfect place for it. After a light diner we decided to head back down to the pools for a few hours under the stars. By now there were only 4 tents left at the campsite and a grand total of 6 people (including us) at the springs meaning it was very quiet and relaxing down there. We eventually wandered back up to our tent and went to bed around midnight.
What a great lazy day, I wish we could stay here longer but… We only carry food for 2 days!

That’s what I call a well deserved resting day. Give your bodies and mind some time off . Hopefully you’ll find a better road to drive down to the big city… Better roads but more traffic and noise … Prepare yourself mentally for a little shock too 😉
Bisous Mum
