Today is post Dalton maintenance. We only did the basic maintenance before heading up and we still have a few outstanding jobs to take care of. Lucky we have Jerry, our friendly mechanic friend who allows us to work in his shop and we spent the day taking both bikes apart, checking valve clearances, replacing valve cover gaskets (both bikes had oil leaks) and having a general look around under the fairings. Both air filters had Dalton Highway pebbles stuck in them and needed to be replaced. Jerry bought is lunch which we had in the workshop and we pretty much spent the whole day there working on the bikes.
Once that was done we headed back to the cottage and carried on sorting our stuff out, more laundry and packing for the upcoming travels.

Quite a test for the horses this Lucky Luke highway!
Can this be done by a non-mechanic? I guess not.
But infrastructure was up-to-speed as I can see.
Tighten all bolts and nuts coz the travel South is still long
Again a serious mention of food and lunch 😉
Baci again
