Day 76, Big Fork Montana 2

We were awake early today. Not by choice, no alarms were set last night, not because of loud neighbours or rain, not because it was cold… Just nature doing its thing! A couple of crows or ravens (I am no expert on loud black birds) decided to camp above our tent and have a loud heated discussion as the sun was thinking about rising around 05:30. I tried to reason with them but that failed so the next best thing was earplugs. Around 07:30 the neighbours many kids were awake and once again it got loud but since the ears were now plugged, we managed to keep on sleeping for a while longer. Turns out we are also sleeping on more of a slope than we thought and keep on sliding to the bottom of the tent!

Anyway, we eventually emerged from our nest around 9:30 a 10:00 and set off into town for brunch. The Pocketsone Cafe had good reviews and has a nice variety of options for breakfast. The weather was pleasant enough to sit outside so we had our morning beverages and food on their patio.

Next up is laundry, we did a little over the last few days at the B&B but still have plenty left to do. Big Fork has a laundry facility where we will be spending a few hours reading, blogging and turning over laundry.

Next on the to do list is give the bikes a good wash. The last few days riding in the rain and the 2 weeks or so riding in the parks made for some seriously dusty bikes. Luckily, just across the road from the campsite is a pressure washer car wash that we put to good use.

From there it was relax time at the campsite. A hammock, a book and we were set! Unfortunately being Sunday and start of school holidays the lake side beach was hectic and noisy with youngsters. So not as relaxing as we would have liked but nice enough to sit back with a book for a change.

Our stomachs began to growl to we headed to Flathead brewery near the lake for a beer and a delicious dinner.this campground akso has showers so we enjoyed a hot shower before bed. The kids have left and so have most other campers and the place is now quiet… zzzzzzzz

This time you had a nice stop over to get everything cleaned up and time for relaxing as well.
I love Zoe’s bright smile ! She smile for 2 huh Tanguy ?
You have a nice setting up there…a large table, a fine hammock and enough trees around giving enough shade all day long. Showers, High pressure for cleaning your bikes…laundromats…. and good restaurants ***** star campsite !

It’s really good to see you busy with a hose, we have 35 centigrade under the terrace and 58 outside.
Certainly no temperatures to work in the garden and still …
Your cleaning cloths and rides, reading in a hammock, all very good after so many days of riding.
    Over to the next post
