Day 66 (June 1) Grand Tetons, Jackson Hole 2

We had a leisurely lie in this morning, enjoying the warm sun rays hitting the tent, and knowing tomorrow morning will be another early one. After cooking a simple breakfast we did our laundry (by hand as no laundromat here) and hung it out to dry. As we were leaving we saw the same (probably) female Moose having a munch in our camping loop.

We had heard that Signal Mountain road was open so we drove about 30miles through the park to the road, only to find it closed until 4pm. Bit of a disappointment. We drove a short ways further to have lunch at a lodge on the lake, just in time to escape a rainstorm. Fortunately the rain was a short ! As the weather looked poor we decided to head into Jackson Hole to use the Internet and stock up on supplies, and check out the town. On the way a Wildlife Art Gallery on the hill caught my eye; stopped in and checked that out for around an hour.

In Jackson Tanguy had work to do on the laptop, so we found a cozy organic restaurant and planted ourselves there for a few hours.

After a delicious organic meal, we wandered around town one more time then headed back to camp to bed.

The ‘shop of death’ we stumbled apon, completely chocka with taxidermied animals
