Last nights rain was light and short lived and by the morning the sun was shining again. The normal morning food and pack up rountine followed and we headed to the Dinosaur fossil quarry.
The quarry even though small was packed with fossils from various dinosaurs and most interesting. The road ahead was still fairly long so we didn’t linger around too long.
We pushed on west again today with the intent to reach Salt Lake city by the evening. Scenery is similar to yesterdays with mainly flat farmlands dominated by cattle ranches. I guess this explains why it is so hard to find vegetables in this country! It’s all about the beef! Our lunch stop was at a very small but tasty Mexican place, El Patio, in Duchenne, would have been easily missed if it was for trip adviser.
One short section of our journey took us through a high mountain pass along the UT35 where snow was still abundant and a few snow mobile riders were injoying their last day in the snow before packing up their machines for the summer.
We made a brief hot chocolate stop in Park City, I guess best described as the Aspen of Utah, very upmarket ski resort town. We made plans on where to spend the night and carried on into the city. A short ride later we are in the busy interstate traffic headed into town. We dropped our vulnerable stuff (anything that can’t be locked up) off at the hotel and went off to make the most of the last few hours of daylight.
First stop was the Utah State Capitol building, then we walked up to Ensign peak for a few of the sunset over the Salt Lake and mountains . Sushi for diner followed by a ride through town to see all the Mormon temples and buildings all lit up.

Cattle and monumental official buildings, sums up the country
Apart from nature, beautiful and untouched, protected I guess.
You’re approaching the speed flats, I can feel it coming.
“How fast will they go, the 1200 and the 650?”
Baci after 2 posts today, good day!
