We didn’t get up super early after our late night at the hot springs. One thing is for sure, we went to bed very relaxed and had a wonderful night sleep!
We found a great breakfast spot, Creek Side Cafe, in Steamboat Springs, being Sunday it was very busy with locals socialising over brunch but we managed to get a table and enjoyed a delicious breakfast.
Once caffeined up and fed we took the road heading west. The ride wasn’t all that exciting since we have left the high mountains of Colorado behind us and are now in flat farm land. Lots of cattle ranches, irrigation systems wasting tones of water on keeping the grass green for the cows… The roads were for the best part deserted and progress was fast.
We reached the eastern side of Dinosaur national monument around 16:00, went for a short hike to the canyon overlook view point and carried on to the western entrance to find a place to camp.
We got to our campsite with plenty of daylight left and set off to preparing our diner (which was also lunch!) and had an early night as it started to rain and we had to hide in our tent.

Hi there, this is a short one, nothing special to see then?
But even in the plains it rains, no luck.
Meat uses a lot of land and resources, we’ll have to go vegetarian some time.
That’s why I took interest in Urban Crops Solutions, a Flemish company specializing in vertical farming.
See, nothing much to say here as well.
